2010- The Big One?

Hello everyoneeee
Hope you all had a fab Christmas and New Years. I sure did. I've eaten and drank sooo much in the past couple of weeks that I'm pretty sure I've put on a stone or two hehe.

I'm going to try and make 2010 my year.
I'm going to work extremely hard to get myself back on track, even if that does mean going out of my comfort zones to sort my head out. I can't say I've been all that happy in 2009, and I was quite a recluse for the majority of it, but the last couple of months I have met some really lovely people who got me out and about and laughing again.
I want to feel good about myself and my body ( cliché ) and I want to find someone to help me do that. I'm tired of being alone now and questioning why I am...

I think as well I need to make some drastic changes to fix my health and my ego/self esteem. A good diet, a better job and of course taking more photographs I don't neccessarily want to plan ahead as sometimes you can plan and everything backfires (too much of that last year!) so I just have several ideas which will go ahead when the time arises more than setting anything in stone.

I want to travel more again this year, I'm aiming to go to Ireland, and back to Canada and Japan if my pocket can stretch that far. I also aim to be in Merseyside a lot too as I have some models I'm dying to work with up that way and because of course I love my second home and Formby beach!

University stuff is all sent off and awaiting reply. Whether or not I get in and will end up going is a different matter all together but I'll just have to wait and see how it goes and how I feel when the time comes.

I hope you all have lots of stuff that you want to achieve in 2010, and I hope you are all happy and healthy throughout it

A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
This is my last post of 2009. Aww. Where did the time go?

I wouldn't say that 2009 was particularly great for personal stuff (apart from my trip to Japan), but for my photography it's been alright- Going to Bridlington and working with all the professionals being the highlight!

2010 will -hopefully- be a lot more productive. Fingers crossed I will get into university too (please?)

I have my magazine publication coming up and my shoot with lingerie designer Edie Rocks. I really hope I can get more paid work anyway, that's one of my main goals- People asume I work for free and that is definitely not the case in most situations. I'm just a bit fed up with people taking me for granted. If people knew the sheer time that goes into planning a shoot, shooting and processing... Urgh.

And just to remind you all it's my 2 year anniversary of being single in January. Huzzah!

Anyway...
Last chance to say how greatful I am to all my watchers and supporters. You make it all so worthwhile

Hellooooo.

So I've started the hunt for a new camera for 2010. Currently looking at the Nikon d300s. Lack of funding is the major problem at the moment I'm in desperate need of a new camera, especially for the big, awesome, possibly propper career starting shoot I have booked for the end of January. The D40 has been a great little camera to learn with but sadly it just isn't cutting it anymore. Especially working with all the professional togs in Bridlington I feel quite embaressed by my super tiny, lightweight slr. But I do love it, it's done a cracking job. My parents said they might get me it and a new lense for christmas, I'm going to have a look at them in Jessops tomorrow. Let's keep our fingers crossed eh? I sure hope I get it.

In other news.... I have no other news to report No photoshoots booked till early next year (urgh). Again lots of time wasters backing out last minute. I've sold quite a few prints but still not enough to be making enough money to keep me going without my current shitty minimum wage job. Ah well.

Hello lovely deviants.

Things are going very well, I hope you like my new photos! They were completely spontaneous and a lot of fun XD
We had no initial ideas of what to do except for the various accessories and 'the wooden balls from dunelm' that were milling around in my room (get it XD?!)- I saw them and thought, photoshoot for a quid? Wicked. They look pretty swish don't you think? I impressed myself with my makeup skills too, but like I've said before it's just like painting So there ya go! This picture made us giggle. If only people could see what was going on off camera- trackies and pulled down strap tops are the way to go.

I feel like 2010 is going to be amazing... I have something very big planned which will hopefully be my breakthrough along with my first publication. My official website currently gets 300 hits a week (omg) and my email inbox has on average 25 emails a day from various models and others genuinely interested by myself and my work. Its lovely to know things are finally looking up for me, but with that also comes a lot more responsibility and commitment and I'm going to really nurture this career as much as I can. By doing that I will also be looking to be far more business forward- for example, taking deposits from bookings, making sure I get all my release forms sorted and also to go out of my way for photoshoots and casting calls. My confidence has moved forwards leaps and bounds and I've even started handing out my business cards to complete strangers, which for the people who know me will be amazed at as I'm usually farrrr too shy to even look at someone I don't know.

I am so excited, I love this and I love all of you!}
